DIURNAL SWING
Diurnal Swing is an art project in collaboration with Olivia Swisher documenting and representing of the contemporary American landscape and life on the road. The work is composed of visuals and sounds which recreate and share the noises, desolation, colors, and isolation found in remote regions of the United States.
PROCESS
Temperature Topographies were created using temperature data recorded by the National Park Systems and NOAA. Using Savannah GA as the control point, those places with higher temperatures than Savannah were given topographical elevations below Savannah while those places with lower temperatures are given elevations higher than Savannah (all at scaled intervals based on the mean temperature of the location, on the day in which it was visited)
